Rebecca Stokell debuted in Women’s One Day International cricket against South Africa in 2017 and quickly established herself as a valuable player. She was also part of Ireland’s squad for the 2018 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier and the subsequent ICC Women’s World Twenty20 tournament in the West Indies. Stokell’s talent and dedication were further recognized when she was named the Female Academy Player of the Year at the annual Cricket Ireland Awards in 2018.
She debuted in the Women’s Twenty20 International (WT20I) squad for the series against the West Indies in May 2019. Stokell’s consistent performances earned her a non-retainer contract by Cricket Ireland in July 2020. She was also part of Ireland’s squad for the 2019 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament in Scotland and the subsequent 2021 Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament in Zimbabwe.
Stokell has scored 156 runs in 13 innings, with 30 runs as her highest score in ODIs. In T20Is, she has scored 497 runs in 37 innings, with 48 being her highest score. She maintains an average of 17.13 and a strike rate of 96.88.
