Bio:-

The 24-year-old leg-spinner made her international debut on 7th July 2018 in a T20I against Uganda. She has picked up 45 wickets at a strike rate of 18.5, an average of 16.08, and a brilliant economy of 5.21 in 44 innings. Her best performance with the ball for Scotland in the T20I format came in her format when she returned with exceptional match figures (2.3-0-8-3) in her spell.

She made her ODI debut on 17th October 2023 against Ireland. In four innings so far, she has picked up 9 wickets at a strike rate of 19.3 an average of 14.77, and an economy of 4.58. Her best performance with the ball in the format came on 14th April 2024 against the USA, when she returned with brilliant match figures (10-1-30-4) in her spell.

Coming from a background of Pakistani immigrants, Maqsood has emerged as a symbol of diversity and inclusion in cricket. Her cricketing journey began at a young age when she joined Poloc Cricket Club at 11 and swiftly progressed to represent the Scotland under-17 squad at the age of 12. Maqsood’s talent and dedication earned her a place in the Scotland women’s national cricket team.
