Thailand Women and Malaysia Women delivered emphatic all-round performances in their respective Women’s T20 games in the SEA Women’s T20 Competition, producing dominant victories that highlighted their growing authority in associate women’s cricket and reinforced their reputation as well-rounded, disciplined sides capable of controlling games from start to finish.

Thailand vs Indonesia – Thailand won by 74 runs
Thailand Women set the tone against Indonesia Women by building their innings with patience before accelerating decisively in the latter half, as openers Nattaya Boochatham and Natthakan Chantham focused on strike rotation rather than early aggression, with Boochatham looking particularly fluent during her 23 off 19 balls, striking five boundaries before falling at 46, while Chantham’s 10 off 10 ended earlier at 30/1, briefly checking momentum. A short cameo from Nannapat Koncharoenkai (5 off 4) left Thailand three down at 46 in 5.3 overs, but skipper Naruemol Chaiwai then took complete control.
Anchoring the innings with composure and stitching together vital partnerships through the middle overs, first with Rosenan Kanoh (10 off 9), then steadying the ship after Kanoh’s dismissal at 64/4. Chanida Sutthiruang struggled for timing during her stay of 4 off 11, departing at 80/5, but the defining partnership arrived late in the innings as Chaiwai combined with Phannita Maya, whose brisk 20 off 16 balls, including three boundaries, injected crucial momentum.
Chaiwai’s captain’s knock of 51 off 45 balls, featuring five fours, held the innings together before she was run out on the final ball, while late contributions and 15 extras pushed Thailand to a competitive 144/8. Indonesia’s bowlers fought hard, led by Dara Paramitha (2/23) and Ni Ariani (2/18), with support from Ni Made Putri Suwandewi, Sang Maypriani, and Ni Wayan Sariani, but the target proved beyond reach.
Indonesia’s reply never found stability as early wickets set the tone, with Maria Corazon falling for a duck and Rahmawati Pangestuti’s 17 off 22 offering brief resistance alongside skipper Ni Putu Ayu Nanda Sakarini (10), before Thailand’s bowlers seized complete control. Suleeporn Laomi starred with 3/12, Onnicha Kamchomphu ripped through the middle order with 4/13, and disciplined spells from Thipatcha Putthawong and Sunida Chaturongrattana ensured Indonesia were bowled out for 70 in 16.2 overs, sealing a 74-run win.
Malaysia vs Myanmar – Malaysia won by 89 runs
Similarly dominant was Malaysia Women’s performance against Myanmar Women in the 2nd semi-final of the SEA Games Women’s T20 in Bangkok, where early wickets did little to disrupt their plans after Ainna Hamizah Hashim’s brisk 8 off 4 and Winifred Duraisingam’s 8 off 10 gave way to a defining partnership between Mas Elysa and Elsa Hunter.
Elysa produced a masterclass in controlled aggression, striking 67 off 52 balls with 11 boundaries, while Hunter’s fluent 37 off 35 ensured Malaysia rebuilt calmly and then surged ahead, taking the score past 120 before Hunter fell. Despite Elysa’s run-out at 15.4 overs, Mahirah Izzati Ismail (13*) and Nur Arianna Natsya (6*) finished strongly as Malaysia posted 154/4. Myanmar’s bowlers, including Theint Soe, Htet Aung, and Zon Lin, showed effort but lacked penetration, and the chase quickly unraveled under relentless pressure.
Zar Win’s 22 and Zon Lin’s 21 formed the only meaningful partnership, as Nur Arianna Natsya’s outstanding 4/11, backed by wickets from Ainna Hamizah Hashim, Nur Dania Syuhada, and Mahirah Izzati Ismail, dismantled the lineup. Myanmar were dismissed for 65 in 15.2 overs, handing Malaysia an 89-run victory that showcased their balance, tactical clarity, and superior execution.
