Namibia have looked like the strongest side in the competition so far. They began their campaign with a nine-wicket win over Tanzania and then produced another exciting performance against Uganda, tying the match before winning the Super Over by two wickets. Tanzania, on the other hand, will be hoping for a much better showing after their difficult start to the tournament.

The two teams have already met once in this competition, with Namibia winning comfortably by nine wickets on July 21. However, Tanzania have shown in the past that they can challenge Namibia, having won their previous meeting in November 2025 by eight wickets. With both sides familiar with each other, another interesting contest could be on the cards.

Players to watch out:

Sune Wittmann

Sune Wittmann has been Namibia’s standout batter in the tournament so far. She has scored 77 runs in two innings and remained unbeaten once, with a best score of 53*. She has maintained an average of 77.00 and a strike rate of 113.23, hitting 10 fours and two sixes from 68 balls. Her ability to control the innings while also scoring at a healthy pace makes her one of Namibia’s biggest batting threats.

Saum Mtae

Saum Mtae has been one of Tanzania’s better batters in the tournament. She has scored 42 runs in two innings, with the highest score of 25. Her average of 21.00 and strike rate of 131.25 show that she can score quickly when she settles at the crease. Tanzania will need another positive contribution from Mtae if they are to put pressure on Namibia.

Jurriene Diergaardt

Jurriene Diergaardt has been one of Namibia’s most effective bowlers. She has taken three wickets in seven overs across two matches, giving away only 35 runs. Her best figures are 3/21, while her bowling average is 11.66 and her economy rate is 5.00. She could once again play an important role with the ball.

Maria Massawe

Maria Massawe will be an important bowler for Tanzania as they look to stop Namibia’s strong batting line-up. She has taken one wicket in eight overs across the tournament so far, with best figures of 1/27. Tanzania will need her to bowl with control and build pressure during the middle overs.
