Her superb performances in the Rachel Heyhoe Flint Trophy have led to this ODI call up. She took 10 wickets at an average of 13.8 in this season of the Flint trophy. She has also put up performances for London Spirit at the inaugural hundred earlier this year.

She has picked up 41 first-class wickets in 31 games and scored 793 runs. In the T20 arena, she has picked up 37 wickets in 36 games and scored 413 runs. Dean carries a batting average of 28.32 in List A cricket and 20.65 in T20 cricket.

Along with Dean, veterans Kate Cross and Lauren Winfield-Hill have also regained their place in the squad after missing out on the recently concluded T20I series.

On the selections, head coach Lisa Keightley said: “We’re really looking forward to the Royal London Series. It’s a great test for us, and five more important ODIs ahead of the ICC Women’s World Cup next year.

“It’s a very busy schedule and we’ll need to work hard throughout it to ensure players are in the best position to get through it, and it may well be that we need to manage the group in order to do that.”

England’s full ODI squad: Heather Knight (C), Tammy Beaumont, Katherine Brunt, Kate Cross, Freya Davie, Charlie Dean, Sophia Dunkley, Sophie Ecclestone, Tash Farrant, Sarah Glenn, Amy Jones, Natalie Sciver, Anya Shrubsole, Lauren Winfield-Hill, Danni Wyatt.
