Players to watch out:

Kelis Ndhlovu

The 18-year-old all-rounder, from 36 T20I outings, has accumulated 610 runs at an average of 19.68. From 36 bowling innings, she has picked up as many wickets at an economy rate of 5.58, with bests being 58* and 3/12. Kelis struggled for runs and lacked consistency with the ball ahead of this competition; however, with a fine 48 and 2/14 in the opener, she has found her form and hopefully carries it to the business end.

Loryn Phiri

The 29-year-old off-spinner, averaging 10.68 and maintaining an economy rate of 4.72, has struck 25 wickets from 24 innings and recorded the best of 5/6. Loryn didn’t play a lot of T20 cricket ahead of this competition, following being dropped from the national team; however, she impressed in the tournament opener, contributing with 26 runs and returning figures of 1/11 (2). She’ll be backed to capitalize on this return to form.

Rita Musamali

The 25-year-old all-rounder in T20Is, from 69 outings, has amassed 971 runs, including the highest of 103*, while from 31 innings has struck 21 scalps, with the best being a 3-fer. Rita hasn’t been at her best lately, departing cheaply with scores of 6, 24, and 3 in her recent T20Is. Even in her first outing in this competition, she walked back scoring 16, but is an experienced campaigner and can be counted on to stage a turnaround.

Janet Mbabazi

The 28-year-old all-rounder in T20Is has racked up 924 runs from 70 outings, while from 61 bowling innings has taken 77 wickets, with bests being 42* and 4/12. Janet had managed starts of 14, 14, and 20 in her previous three T20Is, including the ’24 Kwibuka opener, and registered bowling figures of 0/10, 1/19, and 1/3. She can build on this form and be relied upon for the goods.

Pitch:

The center wicket at Gahanga International Cricket Stadium offers favorable conditions for bowlers, particularly spinners, leading to an average score in the 90s. Batters face challenges on this track but can look to convert their starts once they find their rhythm.

Weather:

The conditions in Kigali are expected to be pleasant for the game, with partly cloudy skies and a low chance of rain. The temperature is forecasted to be in the late-20s (°C), with light winds and humidity of 58%.
