17-Year-Old Richa Ghosh, India’s wicket-keeper, and a middle-order bat is having an extraordinary series in Australia. Owing to her performance, WBBL franchise Hobart Hurricanes has roped her in for the upcoming Weber Women’s Big Bash League 2021.
Richa Ghosh becomes the fifth Indian cricketer to sign with a franchise for the WBBL 2021. Earlier, Shafali Verma and Radha Yadav had confirmed their WBBL spot with Sydney Sixers. Yesterday, it was announced that Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma have been signed by Sydney Thunders.

In the 3 ODIs that Richa got to play on the Australian tour, she scored 32* and 44 Runs in 1st and 2nd ODI respectively. She got out on duck in the 3rd ODI. However, her hard-hitting abilities have stunned everyone and she is being considered a stable middle-order batter for the Indian women’s cricket team.
