Australia Women wicket-keeper batswoman Alyssa Healy shares that she is greatly inspired by India’s Men team limited over Vice Captain, Rohit Sharma who has dominated both the white ball and red ball games, playing a crucial role in India’s tour of Australia and England.
Alyssa is looking forward to replicating his success during the all-format series with Indian women scheduled to start from 21st September. She further said that since she has played just four test matches till now, the one-off pink ball fixture from 30th September would be a tricky one for her but she would take it as an ODI match and give her best.
On the India Women squad, Healy said, “Sometimes a bit of the unknown and the unpredictable nature of India makes them incredibly dangerous. They’ve picked a few new players that we haven’t seen before on this tour. So, they always love throwing something new at us, even if it is Poonam Yadav, she always has something new to throw at us, just to kick us off track again.”

India and Australia Women are set to play three ODIs, a one-off test, three T20Is in Australia starting Monday, 21st September. It has always been exciting to watch both the teams play against each other. An unspoken rivalry exists between the two teams. While India defeated Australia during the 2017 Women’s World cup, Australia got the better of India in the 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup.
