Players to Watch

Shweta Sehrawat:

The vice-captain and prolific right-handed opening batter of India Women’s U19 was one of the top run-getters for the side in the first T20 against South Africa Women’s U19. She muscled 40 off 39, peppering the boundary rope five times. She shared a 71-run stand with Soumya Tiwari for the second wicket.

Shabnam MD:

The right-arm speedster of India Women’s U19 wreaked havoc with the ball in the first T20 against South Africa Women’s U19. She opened the bowling and accounted for 15/3 in four overs. She has some good raw pace and lethal short-pitch deliveries in her repertoire.

Kayla Reyneke:

The promising South Africa Women’s U19 all-rounder made useful contributions with bat and ball in the first T20 against India Women’s U19. Coming into bat at number six, the right-hander mustered 20 off 25, including two hits to the fence and clearing the ropes once. The wily off-spinner scalped 13/2 in her full quota of four overs.

Ayanda Hlubi:

The right-arm pace sensation of South Africa Women’s U19 had a good outing in the first T20 against India Women’s U19. She struck on the first ball of the match, getting rid of the opposition skipper and destructive batter, Shafali Verma. She claimed 22/2 in four overs, bowling well with the new ball and towards the fag end of the innings.

Pitch

It will be the third game of the series at the venue. The last match was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to a wet outfield. With a thick cloud cover and a high chance of precipitation, the rain could play a spoilsport again. However, if there is a game, the captain winning the toss could opt to field first, keeping in mind the DLS system.

Weather

The weather is expected to be mostly cloudy with a thunderstorm. The maximum temperature attained during the day will be 24 degrees Celsius. There will be a 76 percent cloud cover and an 80 percent chance of rain. The wind will blow from the north.
