Super League Round V: Railways emerge victorious over Maharashtra, qualify for the semifinals of Senior Women’s T20 Trophy
Railways have won over Maharashtra and have qualified for the semifinals of Senior Women’s T20 Trophy 2019. In the last round of the Super League, Railways edged over Maharashtra. They bowled first and restricted Maharashtra to 98 and chased down the target in 16 overs in the second innings.

The toss was won by Maharashtra who batted first. They made 98 runs in 20 overs, batting at a run rate of 4.90. Openers Priyanka Garkhede and Shivali Shinde had a 31-run stand. While Garkhede made 25 off 35, Shinde was run-out on 13 by Shweta Mane. Anagha Deshpande made 15 off 19 and Kiran Navgire scored 27 in 12 balls as Maharashtra reached 98 losing 6 wickets. Batting second, Railways scored at a higher run rate and had a smooth chase. Sheral Rozario made 30 as both openers Meghana Sabbineni and Nuzhat Parween scored 26. Railways chased the target in 16 overs. Maharashtra captain Mukta Magre and Poonam Khemnar were the only wicket-takers from their side.
