Group D: Round VI – Punjab wins over Chandigarh as Chhattisgarh loses to Kerala – Senior Women’s T20 Trophy 2019.
The Himachal vs Manipur Round VI match which was scheduled to happen at the RDCA Ground, Raipur had to be abandoned. The other two matches took place on Monday in Cuttack.

Match 1: Chandigarh vs Punjab
Venue: Ravenshaw University Ground, Cuttack
It was a reduced match between the sides. Both Chandigarh and Punjab were allotted 6 overs per innings. Punjab batted first. Opener Zaman Akhtar and number 4 batter Babita Meena both batted till the end scoring 29(18) and 16(13) respectively. Punjab made 47 runs losing 2 wickets in their 6 overs.
Captain Amanjot Kaur started the proceedings for Chandigarh. She made an unbeaten 17 off 21. Chandigarh were 30/3 after 6 overs.
Result: Punjab won by 17 runs.
Match 2: Chhattisgarh vs Kerala
Venue: Ravenshaw University Ground, Cuttack
Kerala batted first in the 93rd T20 of the tournament. Jincy Kutty was once again the standout performer. The opener hit a brilliant fifty scoring 59 in 55 balls. Moreover, she carried her bat as she remained not out at the end. Captain Sajana S made 17 before she was stumped off bowler Pransu Priya Dhanson who scalped 3 wickets. Kerala was 106/6 after 20 overs.
It was again Yashi Pandey of Chhattisgarh who scored the bulk of the runs. Her unbeaten 42 off 53 was crucial in taking her team to a respectable total. Pransu Priya Dhanson also made 14 runs facing 19 balls. Earlier opener and captain Shivi Pandey departed after scoring only 7 of Keerthy K Mathew’s bowling who had a 3-wicket haul. Chhattisgarh finished on 71/6.
Result: Kerala won by 35 runs.
