Railways, on batting first, saw healthy contributions from its batters. Mithali Raj, who joined the team for this match after finishing her national duties played a good knock. She made 45 runs in 38 balls. Mona Meshram made 27 off 41 and Punam Raut made 14 in as many balls. Arundhati Reddy 18(16) and Kalpana Raavi 16(11) remained unbeaten at the end. Railways made 125 runs losing 3 wickets.
Odisha on the other hand, faltered as wickets kept falling. Wicketkeeper batter Pragyan Mohanty made 15 runs in 25 balls while Madhuri Mehta made 14 runs in 23 balls. Rajeshwari Gayakwad of Railways took 2 wickets. At the end of the second innings, Odisha stood at 62/5.
Result: Railways won by 63 runs.
