Group D Round II Summary – Women’s Senior T20 Trophy – Punjab, Kerala and Himachal obtain wins over Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand and Chandigarh.

Match 1: Chhattisgarh vs Punjab

Venue: RDCA Ground, Raipur

Batting first, Punjab made 136 runs losing 3 wickets. Opener Zaman Akhter top scored with 72 off 61.

In reply, Chhattisgarh could only make 93 runs, losing 6 wickets in the process. Yashi Pandey scored 43 runs in 52 balls.

Result: Punjab win by 43 runs.

Match 2: Kerala vs Team Uttarakhand

Venue: Ravenshaw University Ground, Cuttack

Kerala made 109/6 in their 20 overs of batting. Their top run maker was Jincy Kutty who made 51 runs in 54 balls.

Uttarakhand came close to the total but could only make 91 runs in the chase. They also lost 7 wickets. Anju Tomar played a knock of 42 runs off 48 balls.

Result: Kerala won by 18 runs.

Match 3: Chandigarh vs Himachal

Venue: RDCA Ground, Raipur

Chandigarh made 90 runs in their batting outing while losing 7 wickets. Captain Amanjot Bhupinder Kaur top-scored with 48 runs from 57 balls.

Himachal, led by Sushma Verma chased down the target in 17 overs losing only 1 wicket. Nikita Sudhir Chauhan made 41(43) while Harleen Deol who has 3 T20I caps to her name, top scored with 44 runs in 48 balls.

Result: Himachal won by 9 wickets.
