Chinelle Henry‘s cricket journey began in Jamaica, where she made her senior domestic debut in 2009 while still a teenager. A naturally gifted athlete with genuine pace and immense power, she quickly established herself as one of the most exciting young all-rounders in Caribbean cricket. Henry earned her first international cap in a T20I against England in 2013, followed by her ODI debut against New Zealand in 2014. Although her early years with West Indies were marked by inconsistency and periods outside the national side, she continued refining both her bowling and batting, eventually developing into a dependable all-rounder capable of influencing matches in all three disciplines.

Henry’s resurgence began in 2018 after impressive performances at West Indies training camps earned her a return to the national setup. Her growing importance was recognized with a central contract in 2019, and she has since become a valuable contributor across formats. Henry has played 72 T20Is, scoring 608 runs at a strike rate of 96.81 while taking 26 wickets. In 63 ODIs, she has accumulated 916 runs and claimed 33 wickets. One of her finest domestic performances came in 2024 when she produced career-best figures of 6 for 31, including a hat-trick, to help Jamaica secure the Women’s Super50 Cup title.
Henry has steadily built a reputation as a highly effective franchise T20 cricketer. She was part of Barbados Royals’ title-winning Women’s Caribbean Premier League campaign in 2023 and has contributed 154 runs and 7 wickets across 15 WCPL matches. Her power-hitting attracted attention in the Women’s Premier League, where she joined UP Warriorz in 2025 as a replacement player before being signed by Delhi Capitals for the 2026 season.
Across the 2025 and 2026 WPL seasons, Henry emerged as one of the tournament’s most destructive finishers. She scored 271 runs in 15 matches at an average of 27.10 and a remarkable strike rate of 178.29, smashing 21 sixes and registering two half-centuries.
