Northern Superchargers led by skipper Hollie Armitage was all set to face Trent Rockets led by skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt in the 4th match of the tournament at Headingley, Leeds.

Trent Rockets skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt won the toss and opted to bat first. Trent Rockets openers Grace Scrivens and Bryony Smith got their side off to a good start with a 47-run opening partnership. Annabel Sutherland provided the first breakthrough for the Northern Superchargers. Skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt joined Bryony Smith at the crease and the duo stitched another crucial 27-run partnership for the 2nd wicket.

Annabel Sutherland picked up the wicket of Bryony Smith to provide the 2nd breakthrough for her side. Trent Rockets lost a couple of wickets in quick succession courtesy of double strikes from Linsey Smith. Katie George joined skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt at the crease and the duo stitched a crucial 27-run partnership for the 5th wicket to take their side past the 100-run mark.

Trent Rockets ended up with a total of 123/5 in their quota of deliveries. Skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt (36 off 34 balls), Grace Scrivens (32 off 22 balls), and Bryony Smith (23 off 21 balls) were the top performers with the bat for Trent Rockets. Annabel Sutherland (20-11-14-3), and Linsey Smith (20-10-23-2) were the top performers with the ball for the Northern Superchargers.

Chasing a target of 124, the Northern Superchargers openers Marie Kelly and skipper Hollie Armitage got their side off to a steady start, with an 18-run opening stand. Kirstie Gordon picked up the wicket of Marie Kelly to provide the 1st breakthrough for Trent Rockets. Alice Davidson-Richards was found short of her crease to provide the 6th breakthrough for Trent Rockets. Northern Superchargers were restricted to 103, falling short of the target by 20 runs. The 33-run 9th wicket partnership between Linsey Smith and Lucy Higham was the highest partnership of the innings.

Lucy Higham (26 off 22 balls), Annabel Sutherland (15 off 12 balls), skipper Hollie Armitage (14 off 9 balls), and Linsey Smith (13 off 14 balls) were the top performers with the bat for the Northern Superchargers.
