London Spirit led by skipper Heather Knight defeated the Northern Superchargers led by skipper Hollie Armitage by seven wickets at Headingley, Leeds in the 29th match of the season. Southern Brave led by skipper Georgia Adams were all set to face Welsh Fire led by skipper Tammy Beaumont at The Rose Bowl, Southampton in the 30th match of the season.

Welsh Fire skipper Tammy Beaumont won the toss and opted to field first at the Rose Bowl, Southampton. After being inserted to bat first, Southern Brave got off to a poor start as they lost the top order, including the wicket of their skipper Georgia Adams in the first 26 balls of their innings. Chloe Tryon joined Maia Bouchier at the crease and the duo stitched a much-needed 19-run partnership for the 4th wicket. Hayley Matthews picked up the wicket of Maia Bouchier to provide the 4th breakthrough for Welsh Fire.

Southern Brave suffered a mini collapse as they lost their next three wickets for just 13 runs. Wicket-keeper batter Rhianna Southby joined Chloe Tryon at the crease and the duo stitched a much-needed 52-run partnership for the 8th wicket to take their side close to the 100-run mark. Jess Jonassen picked up the wicket of Chloe Tryon to provide the 8th breakthrough for her side.

Southern Brave eventually bundled out for 103, in their quota of 100 deliveries. Chloe Tryon (55 off 38 balls), wicket-keeper batter Rhianna Southby (15 off 17 balls), and Maia Bouchier (10 off 12 balls) were the top performers with the bat for Southern Brave. Hayley Matthews (20-13-14-4), Jess Jonassen (20-9-21-3), Freya Davies (20-11-14-2) were the top performers with the ball for Welsh Fire.

Chasing a target of 104, the Welsh Fire openers Sophia Dunkley and skipper Tammy Beaumont got their side off to a flying start with a 34-run opening partnership. Lauren Bell picked up the wicket of Sophia Dunkley to provide the first breakthrough for Southern Brave. Hayley Matthews joined skipper Tammy Beaumont at the crease and the duo took their side over the line with a 72-run partnership for the 2nd wicket. Welsh Fire sealed a thumping victory with 9 wickets in hand and 26 balls to spare.

Skipper Tammy Beaumont (59* off 40 balls), and Hayley Matthews (35* off 26 balls) were the top performers with the bat for Welsh Fire. Lauren Bell (20-12-18-1), and skipper Georgia Adams (14-3-18-0) were the top performers with the ball for Southern Brave.

Hayley Matthews was awarded the Player of the Match for her exceptional all-round show. She returned with match figures (20-13-14-4) with the ball, and apart from her exploits with the ball, she also scored an unbeaten (35 off 26 balls) knock with the bat to guide her side over the line.
