The upcoming match between Manchester Originals and London Spirit will be the 6th of the ongoing 03 edition of The Hundred (Women’s). The game is scheduled for the 5th of August, 2023, at Old Trafford, Manchester, and will commence at 3:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).

In a couple of editions of the tournament, Manchester Originals and London Spirit have faced off just once, and that was in the inaugural edition. In a thrilling game, the Spirit brushed past the Originals.
Squads:
Manchester Originals – Sophie Ecclestone (C), Deandra Dottin, Emma Lamb, Ellie Threlkeld, Laura Wolvaardt, Amanda-Jade Wellington, Kathryn Bryce, Katie George, Liberty Heap, Phoebe Graham, Fi Morris, Ami Campbell, Amara Carr, Mahika Gaur, Laura Jackson
London Spirit – Heather Knight (C), Amelia Kerr, Charlie Dean, Danielle Gibson, Grace Harris, Sarah Glenn, Sophie Munro, Sophie Luff, Grace Scrivens, Tara Norris, Niamh Holland, Richa Ghosh, Lauren Filer, Chloe Hill, Alice Monaghan
Players to watch out:
Emma Lamb
The 25-year-old batter was with the senior English setup throughout the summer; however, she only played in the One-Off Test. Nevertheless, Emma had a promising summer, scoring 200 runs in 6 outings in both the Charlotte Edwards (CE) Cup and Rachael Heyhoe Flint (RHF) Trophy.
Kathryn Bryce
The 25-year-old Scottish all-rounder, in 33 Twenty20 International (T20I) appearances, has struck 31 wickets and piled on 838 runs. Though not the best, Kathryn has had a decent summer in England, scoring 97 runs in 7 CE Cup outings and scalping 4 wickets in 5 matches.
Sophie Luff
The 29-year-old batter enjoyed a good run at the CE Cup, contributing 150 runs in 7 outings. However, she suffered a slump in the RHF Trophy games, scoring just 108 runs in 5 innings. Sophie holds a promising history in the competition as well, scoring 150 runs in 13 innings.
Lauren Filer
The 22-year-old pacer had a memorable summer, debuting in Test match cricket and leaving a lasting mark. In the few domestic games she played this summer, Lauren struck 8 wickets in 5 RHF Trophy outings and 5 wickets in as many CE Cup appearances. However, in The Hundred, Lauren hasn’t left her mark yet, but it wouldn’t be surprising if she goes on to do it this edition to cherry on top of her successful summer.
Pitch:
The center wicket at Old Trafford presents a well-rounded surface, offering a fair contest between bat and ball. Spinners will come into play and can make a significant impact as the game progresses. Additionally, chasing hasn’t been an easy task at this venue, adding to the challenge for teams.
Weather:
The temperature is expected to hover around 13°C, with light winds and humidity of 88%. However, showers on the radar and throughout the match duration could again play spoilsport and potentially result in a washout.
