Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur are the other 2 players selected to participate in the tournament.

Smriti Mandhana

A dynamic left-handed opener, Smriti Mandhana was retained by Southern Brave ahead of the Hundred 2023. Mandhana would be hoping she can replicate her last season’s batting success where she scored 211 runs from 8 innings with an average of 30.14 and an exceptional strike rate of 151.79. In total, she hit 35 fours and 5 maximums while also completing one half century. Mandhana also played in the inaugural season of the Hundred for the Southern Brave. She scored 167 runs from 7 innings with an average of 27.83 and a strike rate of 133.6.

She will be playing together with international stars like Danni Wyatt, Sophia Dunkley, Tahlia McGrath, Tara Norris and Lauren Bell.

Harmanpreet Kaur

Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur was picked by Trent Rockets in the draft. She had earlier played in the inaugural season of the Hundred representing Manchester Originals in that tournament. She had scored 104 runs from 3 innings in that edition with a top score of 49*. Her average in that edition was 52 with a strike rate of 109.47. Harmanpreet Kaur will be high on confidence after winning the inaugural season of WPL with Mumbai Indians and also helped India beat Bangladesh in the T20I series played in Bangladesh.
