The 02 edition of the FairBreak gets underway on the 3rd of April with an exhibition game, and the first game of the tournament then gets underway that afternoon in a repeat of the Final of last season, with the runners-up Falcons playing the defending champions Tornadoes at 2:00 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).
The battle between the Tornadoes and the Falcons sees the former with a 2-0 lead. Tornadoes gained the upper hand over Flacons on the back of a couple of wins in the previous inaugural edition, one which had come during the league stage game and the other on the big stage, the Final. What’s in store as the two star-studded sides clash? A blockbuster game.

The 29-year-old South Africa cricketer has had a hard patch of late and with an opportunity to play for a side, the long-benched Dane van Niekerk will be raring to go. In her 86 games of Twenty20 International (T20I) career, she scored 1877 runs and bagged 65 wickets.
Aliya Riaz –
The 30-year-old batting all-rounder from Pakistan has got 72 T20I games experience under her belt and has scored 784 runs and struck 17 wickets. Batting in the middle order, Aliya’s consistency reflects in her average of 19.12 which is a huge plus for any side.
Jahanara Alam –
The 29-year-old Bangladeshi pacer is known for her accuracy and variations and for the same remains an asset for her skippers. Jahanara has featured in 77 T20Is for Bangladesh and has struck 57 scalps at an economy rate of 5.53 and with her handy batting skills has got a few hundred runs to her name as well.
Danni Wyatt –
The 31-year-old English pocket dynamo has got vast experience having featured in leagues across the globe. Wyatt comes with an experience of 143 international games wherein she’s not only scored 2369 at a strike rate of 125.21 but also has bagged 46 wickets with the best figures of 4/11.
Pitch:
With the pitch at the Kowloon Cricket Club being a bowlers-friendly one, the venue hasn’t had high-scoring games and the average score at the venue is as modest as 135. Bowlers, both spinners and pacers dictate the game and that should give you an idea of how much of a bowler’s friendly pitch it is.
Weather:
With scattered showers on the radar in the early evening hours, the forecast isn’t much to players’ and fans’ delight. One would hope the weather clears out and we have a full game of cricket with the temperature ranging in the early 20s.
