The Kate Cross led England side elected to bat first, with the visitors posting a formidable total of 320 thanks to Tammy Beaumont’s unbeaten 150 off 139 balls well supported by a half-century from Freya Kemp. In response, the Irish side struggled right from the beginning, losing their wickets in the early overs as Kate Cross struck quickly and picked up three wickets. Lauren Filer also picked up three wickets and Freya Kemp contributed two to take her tally to two. The hosts were bundled out for 45 as the bowlers of England seemed on top of their game.
