Players to watch

Jemimah Rodrigues: 

The right-handed top-order batter of India won the player of the match in her last game against Sri Lanka. She top-scored with a career-best 76 off 53. Her innings was studded with 11 boundaries and a six. She put together a 92-run partnership with captain Harmanpreet Kaur for the third wicket.

Dayalan Hemalatha:

The Indian all-rounder was the pick of the bowlers in her last match against Sri Lanka. She claimed 15/3 in 2.2 overs, including two wickets in the 17th over and one in the 19th. She bowled well in the death overs. Apart from her bowling, she scored an unbeaten 13 off 10, batting at number five.

Mahirah Izzati Ismail: 

The right-arm off-spinner of Malaysia was the lone wicket-taker for her team in her last appearance against Pakistan. She scalped 8/1 in her two overs and was the most economical bowler. She struck on the very last ball of the powerplay. Apart from her batting, she is a handy right-handed middle-order batter.

Elsa Hunter: 

The right-handed middle-order batter of Malaysia starred with the bat mustering an unbeaten 29 off 51 in her last match against Pakistan. Her innings was embellished with three boundaries. She came in to bat in the second over and was there till the end. She held the batting innings of Malaysia together.

Pitch

This will be the sixth match of the tournament at the venue, with the fifth match being played early in the day. The first two days of the competition saw four games being played. The teams batting first and the teams batting second have won two matches each. The average first and second innings scores are 100 and 78, respectively. Batting has not been easy here. On the other hand, spinners have been successful, with four out of the top five wicket-takers in this edition of the competition being the slower bowlers.
