Malaysia to host ACC Women’s T20 Championship 2022 starting 17th June 2022

The 2022 ACC Women’s T20 Championship will be played from June 17 to June 25 in Malaysia. 10 teams will participate in the event, including Bahrain, Bhutan, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Malaysia, Singapore, Nepal, Oman, Qatar and UAE.

These 10 teams are divided into two groups, namely Group A and Group B. Group A will see Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Singapore and UAE, while Group B will feature Bahrain, Bhutan, Hong Kong, Kuwait and Nepal.

Each team will play once against every opponent in the Group stage. After each team plays four matches in the Group stage, the top two teams from each of the Groups will qualify for the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals will meet in the finals. The two finalists will qualify for the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2022 in October that will have regional heavyweights India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the hosts Bangladesh.
