The final between UAE Women U19 and Thailand Women U19 in the ACC Women’s U19 Premier Cup 2026 ended without a result after heavy rain stopped play at the Bayuemas Cricket Oval, Kuala Lumpur, on July 18, 2026. The weather interrupted the game during the first innings, and despite waiting for conditions to improve, the match could not continue.

After winning the toss, UAE Women U19 chose to bat first. Thailand’s bowlers made an excellent start and never allowed the UAE batters to settle. Regular wickets and tight bowling kept the scoring rate under control throughout the innings.
UAE captain Samaira Dharnidharka looked positive at the start of the innings. She played a quick knock of 13 runs from just 8 balls, hitting three boundaries, before she was bowled by Kewarin Saechao. Her early attacking approach gave UAE some momentum, but Thailand quickly fought back.
Opener Lavanya Keny stayed at the crease longer than any other batter and top-scored with 16 runs from 30 balls, including one four. She tried to hold the innings together but found it difficult to score freely against Thailand’s disciplined bowling attack. She was eventually trapped leg before wicket by Phonphimon Khongdee.
AL Maseera Jahangir managed 2 runs, while Vaishnave Mahesh added 10 from 16 deliveries before she was caught by Chanoknan Phanao off the bowling of Patcharaporn Sorntha. Mehul Pranav Kulkarni scored 2 runs before being run out, while Janani Thirukkumaran was dismissed leg before wicket without scoring.
When rain stopped play, Mehak Thakur was unbeaten on 3 runs, while Neha Kumari remained not out on 4. UAE also received 4 extras, including three wides and one bye, taking their total to 54/6 after 12.4 overs.
Thailand’s bowlers produced another disciplined performance. Patcharaporn Sorntha was the most successful bowler with 2 wickets for 9 runs in 2.4 overs. She bowled with excellent control and removed two important middle-order batters.
Kesinee Kaewjumphol, Kewarin Saechao and Phonphimon Khongdee claimed one wicket each, while Pattamawadee Suriya also bowled a tidy spell and did not allow the UAE batters to score freely.
Just after the completion of the 13th over was about to begin, heavy rain arrived at the venue. The players left the field as the covers were brought on. Match officials waited for conditions to improve, but the rain continued and the outfield remained too wet for play to resume.
Since Thailand Women U19 were unable to start their innings, the match was officially declared No Result, with both declared joint winners.
