Tahlia Wilson has emerged as one of Australia’s promising wicket keeper-batting talents through strong performances in domestic cricket. Wilson chose cricket over hockey during her teenage years and made her Women’s Big Bash League debut for Sydney Sixers while still in high school. She later moved to Sydney Thunder, where she established herself as a consistent top-order batter and continued her development within New South Wales cricket.
Wilson has represented Australia Under-19s and Australia A while steadily building her domestic credentials. She scored her maiden WNCL century in 2022 and created history during the 2023-24 season by becoming the first woman to score a century and complete six dismissals in a List A match. Her excellent form continued as she earned WNCL Player of the Tournament honours during New South Wales’ title-winning campaign.
Tahlia Wilson International Career
Her performances were rewarded with an Australia ODI debut against West Indies in March 2026, stepping in for Beth Mooney. While still at the beginning of her international career, Wilson is viewed as an important future option in Australia’s wicketkeeping group and is expected to travel as a reserve player for the Women’s T20 World Cup squad.
