Nepal Women’s Cricket team leaves for China to participate in the U-19 Women’s B&R Cup

Nepal U-19 team consisting of 14 members has taken off on Friday to China to participate in the U-19 Women’s B&R Cup Cricket Championship set to start from November 11th to 16th. The championship is taking place in Shanghai, China. Secretary of Cricket Association of Nepal, Ashok Nath Pyakurel, ICC Nepal representative Raunak Malla among other sports officials were present to wish the team success and to bid farewell to the side.

Nepal will play its opening match against Thailand on 11th November, and the two matches on the following day i.e 12th November, First one opposite Saudi Arabia and the later against China. Nepal will take on Malaysia on November 14 and against Myanmar on November 15. Nepal team will play under the captaincy of Dolly Bhatta, alongside vice-captain Kabita Kunwar.

A total of six teams are taking part in the tournament- Nepal, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, China, Malaysia and Myanmar in a round-robin.

Squad: Dolly Bhatta(C), Kabita Kunwar(VC), Kritika Marasini, Yashoda Bist, Shristi Jaisi, Rajmati Airee, Ishwori Bist, Laxmi Saud, Khusi Dangol, Goma Ale, Jyoti Danuwar, Ngima Tamang, Shila Regmi and Lakhita Rajbanshi.

Kalam Ali is the coach for the side along with Amrita Paudel as a manager. Sakuna Dani (physio) has accompanied the players to China.
