Surrey Women were crowned champions of the Women’s T20 Blast 2025 edition after a powerful all-round performance secured a 5-wicket victory over Warwickshire Women in a thrilling final showdown. The match, played under clear skies and high pressure, saw big names step up, none more so than Grace Harris, whose blistering 63* off 33 balls guided Surrey to glory in just 16.4 overs.

Batting first, Warwickshire Women struggled to find early rhythm, losing openers Meg Austin (4) and Davina Perrin (0) cheaply within the powerplay. The Blaze semi-final hero Issy Wong looked to counterattack, stitching together a brief 23-run partnership with Sterre Kalis, before falling for a promising 31 off 19 deliveries. Kalis couldn’t convert her start, departing for a slow 10 off 16.
The middle order saw bursts of intent. Amu Surenkumar and Natasha Wraith formed a quick 20-run stand, with Amu contributing 11 off 7 and Wraith playing a crucial cameo of 29 off 19. Later, Emily Arlott (3) and Laura Harris (25 off just 11) added some late fireworks, combining for a 30-run stand, followed by Millie Taylor’s unbeaten 20*, which lifted Warwickshire to a defendable 153/9 in 20 overs.
For Surrey, the bowling unit shared the spoils efficiently. Phoebe Franklin stood out with 2/16, while Alexa Stonehouse (2/39), Danielle Gregory (1/31), Ryana MacDonald-Gay (1/32), and Alice Capsey (1/33) all chipped in with wickets at vital moments to peg Warwickshire back.
Surrey’s chase got off to a mixed start. Skipper Bryony Smith began aggressively with a 21 off 17, but her dismissal, along with early exits for Danni Wyatt-Hodge (5) and Alice Capsey (15 off 16), put the pressure on the middle order. However, the defining moment came with the entry of Grace Harris, who turned the tide with brute force and calculated aggression.
Before her heroics, Sophia Dunkley had laid a platform with a crisp 23 off 13, sharing a 37-run partnership with Harris. The match-winning blow, however, came through her 44-run stand with Paige Scholfield, where Harris did the bulk of the damage, smashing boundaries at will.
Harris finished with an unbeaten 63* off just 33 deliveries, striking at a phenomenal rate of 190, while Kira Chathli (16*) calmly saw the team home in 16.4 overs, posting 154/5 to seal the title in style. Warwickshire’s bowlers did their best to stem the flow, with Amu Surenkumar picking up 2/13 and Emily Arlott grabbing 2/29.
Surrey Women’s triumph is a testament to their depth, experience, and fearlessness under pressure. From clinical bowling to explosive batting, the squad ticked every box throughout the tournament. For Warwickshire, despite the heartbreak, their spirited journey to the final, especially after a commanding semi-final win showcased the promising depth and fight in their ranks.
