An All-round display from Sarah Coyte helps Strikers to win a low scoring encounter by 3 runs at Brisbane on Saturday.

Winning the toss, Hurricanes opted to bowl and they had an excellent start as the pace gun Tayla Vlaeminck removed the wicket of the Bates early for just 5. Even the other batters like Devine and McGrath did not spend much time at the crease as they got out soon for 6 and 13 runs on the bowling of Gibson and Tayla respectively.

Though all the batters failed to score big, it was Winfield and Coyte with their cameos of 23 and 24 helped Strikers to have something to defend. Adelaide Strikers finished at 113 for 8 in 20 overs.

With the bowl, it was Vlaeminck, Carey, and Gibson who picked a couple of wickets.

Chasing the target of 114, Hobart failed to have a good start as the opener Daffara again failed to give them a good start as she was dismissed for 0 by Schutt. The upcoming batter Knight and Fazackerley had a partnership of 35 runs but it was with a very little strike. Though Fazackerley covered later with boundaries. On the other side, Knight took 28 balls for her 17, which is not expected from a player of her standards. This made Strikers come back in the game.

The inform batter Nicola Carey tried her best to help the team cross the line but she failed by a whisker as Hurricanes lost the match by 3 runs. Nicola Carey ended up scoring useful 39 runs in 37 runs. The runout of Tryon changed the fortunes of Strikers. Her presence in the middle would have definitely made a difference for Hurricanes. In the end, Hurricanes finished their innings at 110 for 7 in 20 overs. Losing the match by a short margin of 3 runs
