Group B: Sikkim edge over Jammu & Kashmir in Round II of Women’s Senior T20 Trophy

Sikkim won over Jammu & Kashmir in the Round II of Women’s Senior T20 Trophy on Wednesday. The match which was played in Nagpur saw Sikkim women winning the game by 5 wickets.

The match started with Jammu and Kashmir women batting first. J & K didn’t have the best of starts as opener Anju Devi Raj fell on a duck in the 1st over. Rubia Sheikh’s 27 runs in 35 balls were the highest contribution by a batter from their side. J & K ended their innings on 86/7 after 20 overs.

Sikkim had a steady start in the second innings. The openers scored the majority of the runs. Captain Ananya Upendran made 29(35) while their wicketkeeper batter Tshering Ongmu Lepcha scored 20(33). Sikkim made 87/5 in 19.1 overs to chase the score.

Result: Sikkim won by 5 wickets.
