The emerging new-age approach is significantly raising the standards in the T20 format, bringing the total close to the 300-raun mark, within reach for any side. The Kolkata Knight Riders under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer clinched their third Tata IPL title (2012, 2014, and 2024) by defeating the Sunrisers Hyderabad led by skipper Pat Cummins in what turned out to be a very one-sided final at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, in Chennai on 26th May 2024.
