The fifth and the final T20 of the five-match series between South Africa Emerging and Zimbabwe will be played on September 3 at the Caledonian Stadium in Pretoria. The match will start at 1.30PM IST. Zimbabwe has taken an unassailable lead of 3-1 in the series.

In the fourth T20, batting first, Zimbabwe posted a competitive score of 157/7 in 20 overs. Mary-Anne Musonda top scored with an unbeaten 48 for Zimbabwe while for South Africa Emerging, Miane Smit was the pick of the bowlers as she scalped three wickets. In reply, South Africa Emerging fought hard but fell short of 19 runs in the end as they were restricted to 138/7 in 20 overs. It was Miane Smit again for the hosts who starred with the bat scoring 45 while for Zimbabwe, Josephine Nkomo and Kellies Ndlovu claimed two wickets each.

Players to watch out for 

Miane Smit: 

The talented all-rounder of South Africa Emerging had a great outing with both bat and ball in the fourth T20 against Zimbabwe. The right-handed middle order batter muscled 45 runs off 30 balls, including seven boundaries and a six. With the ball, bowling right arm medium pace, she scalped 23/3 in four overs and was the most successful bowler for the side.

Delmi Tucker: 

The right-handed middle order batter of South Africa Emerging scored a quickfire 40 off 30 in the fourth T20 against Zimbabwe. She hit five boundaries and stitched a crucial 45-run partnership with Miana Smit for the fifth wicket. She also opened the bowling with Nobulumko Baneti and bowled well with the new ball.

Mary-Anne Musonda: 

Coming in at number five, the right-handed middle order batter of Zimbabwe top scored with an undefeated 48 off 40 balls in the fourth T20 against South Africa Emerging. She hammered half a dozen boundaries in her entertaining knock. She guided her team to a fighting score of 157 in 20 overs.

Kellies Ndlovu: 

The left-handed opening batter of Zimbabwe scored a blistering 41 off 29 balls in the fourth T20 against South Africa Emerging. She provided a good start and put together 68 runs for the first wicket with her opening partner Sharne Mayers. With the ball, the left arm spinner struck with 24/2 in four overs.

Pitch

This will be the fifth and the final match of the series at the venue. So far, the teams batting first and the teams batting second have won two matches each. The average first innings score is 133 and the average second innings score is 117. Expect an exciting contest between bat and ball.
