In a Thriller 1st ODI World Cup meeting between the Proteas and the Windies, Cri-Zelda Brits’ lone fighting knock of 72, took South Africa to 169 before being bowled out. Coming out to chase, it was Brits’ with the ball yet again as West Indies was bowled out just 1 run short of a tie.

  1.  2009 Women’s World Cup (March 8)

A brilliance with the ball from Stafanie Taylor with a spell of 4 wickets conceding 17 runs (2 maidens) in 8.2 overs, bowled out South Africa for 116 who though gave a tough fight with the ball, but the Windies won the match by 2 wickets with 8 balls to spare.

  1.  2013 Women’s World Cup (February 8)

The high-scoring match witnessed an all-around performance from Stafanie Taylor who scored a brilliant 75 (78) with the bat after taking 2 catches and a wicket giving away 32 runs (2 maidens) in her 10 overs. South Africa put up a target of 231 for the Windies who made the chase look easy as they got the target with 2 wickets and 27 balls remaining.

  1.  2017 Women’s World Cup (July 2)

A Player of the match bowling spell from Marizanne Kapp taking a 4 wicket haul (3 of them in the 8th over itself) conceding just 14 runs (2 maidens) in her 7 overs, crushed down West Indies for just 48, a chase that was one of best one for the Proteas as they went on to win by 10 wickets with a massive 262 balls to spare.
