Match 3 – ICC Women’s World T20 Warmups 2018 – Bangladesh vs Ireland Women

Third Practice match was played between Bangladesh and Ireland, wherein by putting a brilliant bowling effort Salma Khatun’s team won by 6 wickets.

While batting first after losing the toss, Ireland women could manage to score 83 runs by losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Coming to bat at 7th position Kim Garth scored 34 runs  in 35 balls with three 4s and 1 six. Gaby Lewis scored 15 runs while Kavanagh (10) and E Richardson (10 not out) were the only other players to score double digit runs. In her spell of 4 overs from which 1 over was maiden, Rumana Ahmed took 3 wickets by giving only 9 runs.

Bangladesh chased the target of 83 runs by sparing 32 balls and 6 wickets. The main contribution from bat came through Ayasha Rahman, who scored 25 runs in 26 balls with 3 fours and 1 six. The other contributors were Fargana Hoque (21 not out) and Sanjida Islam (20 not out). Kim Garth was the only successful bowler more precisely the only successful player from Ireland who managed to score runs as well as take wickets. She took 3 wickets in 2 overs by giving only 4 runs.
