In the first T20, South Africa Emerging were reduced to 107/8 in 20 overs. Nondumiso Shangase top scored with 26 runs for South Africa Emerging while for Zimbabwe Josephine Nkomo was the pick of the bowlers picking up 11/2. In reply, Zimbabwe chased down the total on the very last ball of the innings with two wickets in hand. Pellagia Mujaji starred with the bat scoring an unbeaten 28, while for South Africa Emerging Seshnie Naidu, Kayla Reyneke, and Micheala Andrews accounted for two wickets each.

Players to watch out for

Nondumiso Shangase: 

The right-handed middle-order batter of South Africa Emerging top scored with 26 runs off 30 balls in the first T20 against Zimbabwe. She smashed three boundaries in her knock. She held the innings together having come in to bat in the sixth over and was there in the middle till the 19th over.

Kayla Reyneke: 

She was one of the most successful bowlers for South Africa Emerging in the first T20 against Zimbabwe. She scalped 12/2 in her four overs. Apart from picking up two key wickets, she was the most economical bowler for her team. She exhibited good control over her lines and lengths.

Pellagia Mujaji: 

The right-handed middle-order batter from Zimbabwe led the run chase from the front in the first T20 against South Africa Emerging. She scored an undefeated 28 off 24 balls, including four boundaries. She played some good-looking shots in her innings and ran well between the wickets. 

Josephine Nkomo: 

The captain of Zimbabwe was the most successful bowler in the first T20 against South Africa Emerging. The right arm medium pace bowler claimed 11/2 in her four overs, including one maiden. She opened the bowling with Nomvelo Sibanda and struck in her very first over of the innings.

Pitch

This will be the second match of the series at the venue. In the last match, 215 runs were scored and 16 wickets fell in the process. The sunny conditions may make batting easy. However, with bowlers getting some purchase in the last match, the wicket is expected to offer an exciting contest between bat and ball.
