Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play each other on March 11 at Brabourne Stadium from 7:30 PM IST as the Women’s Premier League 2025 draws to a close. With four victories from six games, Mumbai has already guaranteed a playoff berth, but they will be keen to finish first in order to advance straight to the final game.

However, following a dismal season, the reigning champions, Royal Challengers Bengal, have been eliminated from the running. But pride is still on the line for the Challengers, who will want to win against a formidable Mumbai team to round out the season on a good note.
Chasing down a record total of 201 against Gujarat Giants in the tournament opener and winning against Delhi Capitals by eight wickets, the Challengers had two outstanding victories to start the season. However, four straight losses caused their campaign to collapse.
They suffered a last ball defeat to Mumbai, failing to defend 167, then failing to defend 180 against UP Warriorz, where they lost the Super Over by four runs. Their troubles persisted as they lost to Gujarat Giants by six wickets in a chase of 125 and were thrashed by the Delhi Capitals by nine wickets in a chase of 147. Most recently, despite Richa Ghosh’s heroic 69 off 33 balls, RCB lost to UP Warriorz by 12 runs, nearly taking down the highest team total of the competition of 225, set by UP Warriorz.
Mumbai Indians have won four of their last six games in the WPL 2025, guaranteeing their position in playoffs. They lost to the Delhi Capitals by just two wickets off the final ball, failing to defend 164 in their season opener, but they soon recovered to defeat Gujarat Giants by five wickets, chasing down 120 comfortably.
Before defeating UP Warriorz by eight wickets in a chase of 142, Mumbai maintained their winning streak against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, winning by an exciting four wickets in a final over thriller, chasing 167 for win. They were then defeated by nine wickets against Delhi Capitals but again recovered to put up a strong showing against UP Warriorz in their most recent game, winning by six wickets, as Hayley Matthews starred with 2 for 25 and 68 off 46 balls.
