After winning two of their matches at Vadodara, RCB lost momentum losing their next two matches at their home ground. The latest setback came against UP Warriorz in a thrilling super over finish. After dominating the match for large parts, RCB’s grip slipped allowing UP Warriorz to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. The RCB dressing room was visibly somber following this tough loss.

In a video posted by RCB’s social media handle, Head Coach Luke Williams and Assistant Coach Malolan Rangarajan were seen motivating the team. Ellyse Perry, who scored a brilliant 90*(56) and RCB debutant Sneh Rana who took three wickets also shared their thoughts.

Coach Luke Williams acknowledged the team’s disappointment, saying, “Everyone’s very disappointed..it’s pretty quiet in here.” He emphasized that RCB controlled the game for large parts, making the loss even more hurtful. Williams encouraged the team to learn from their mistakes, especially in execution, composure and decision-making.

Ellyse Perry, reflected on the match, saying, “It’s always tough but it’s also cricket. We played lots of really good patches.” She praised the opposition, notably Sophie Ecclestone, acknowledging that they played exceptionally well.

She expressed her enjoyment of the opportunity to contribute with the ball and praised the electric atmosphere created by RCB fans. “It will be really nice to get out of the line with these tight ones. But yeah, we keep trying.” she added.

Sneh Rana, who played her first match for RCB, expressed gratitude to the management for the opportunity. She vowed to deliver her best whenever given the chance.
