Ellyse Perry is undoubtedly one of the greatest players to don the Royal Challengers Bengaluru jersey. Her recent knock of 81(43) against Mumbai Indians in the 7th match of the Women’s Premier League not only showcased her prodigious skills but also made her the top run-scorer for RCB in WPL.

But Ellyse Perry’s entertainment value isn’t limited to her on-field exploits. She’s also a star off the field, as evident from her recent appearance on the RCB Insider show alongside the team’s fun character, Mr. Nags (played by Danish Sait). The banter between Perry and Mr. Nags had fans in stitches, showcasing the Australian cricketer’s fun-loving personality.
In the show, Mr. Nags is seen joking with Perry, asking her about the whereabouts of last year’s WPL trophy. Perry’s quick wit is on full display as she responds, “Smriti (Mandhana) sleeps with it!”
He continues to poke fun, asking Perry about her incredible batting skills. “Why can you hit the ball while looking away from it?” he asks, and then jokingly responds, “It’s perry-firril vision” (a clever pun on peripheral vision). Mr. Nags keeps the jokes coming, asking Perry that if she were to make a scary movie, what would it be called. “Perry-normal Activity,” he chuckles, leaving the viewers in laughter.
Mr. Nags then takes a jab at Perry’s unique achievement of playing in both an ICC event and a FIFA World Cup. “I’ve done the same on my PS-5,” he jokes, eliciting laughter from Perry.
The jokes continue, with Mr. Nags asking Perry whether she’s more scared of Annabel Sutherland (her Australian teammate) as she is chasing her records or Annabelle (a horror movie). Perry responds with a smile, “Annabel Sutherland is way better than me already!”
As a senior RCB player, Mr. Nags asks Perry, “What’s one thing you’d tell the young girls joining RCB not to do?” Perry’s response is simple yet profound: “She should not be scared.”
Finally, Perry showcases another skill that leaves everyone amazed – she sings a Kannada song, much to the delight of the viewers. With her impressive skills on the field and infectious personality off it, she has won over the hearts of RCB fans.
