Delhi Capitals and UP Warriorz will lock horns in the eighth match of the 2025 Women’s Premier League (WPL) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on February 22 at 7:30 PM IST. The Delhi Capitals, who have won two games and lost one, are presently ranked second in the league. UP Warriorz, however, sit at the bottom of the table and are still looking for their first win of the season following consecutive losses.

Delhi Capitals are hoping to win the top spot in the WPL 2025 after defeating UP Warriorz by seven wickets earlier this week in Vadodara. Delhi, who have two victories from three games and are currently ranked second in the points table, defeated the Mumbai Indians by a slim margin of two wickets to start the season by successfully chasing 165. But in their second game, they collapsed and lost to RCB by eight wickets after being unable to hold off their decent 141-run total.
UP Warriorz are keen to get their first victory of the season after suffering consecutive defeats that have dropped them to the bottom of the standings. Three missed catches and other misfields were expensive in their recent seven-wicket loss to the Delhi Capitals, highlighting problems in both batting and fielding. Their bowling team also had trouble, failing to defend 166 against Delhi in their second encounter and 143 against Gujarat Giants in their first match in WPL 2025.
Head-to-Head:
With four victories in their last five WPL meetings, Delhi Capitals have dominated their matches against UP Warriorz. Delhi is in excellent form and would like to maintain their domination in Bengaluru after defeating Warriors by 7 wickets while chasing 166 in their most recent match on February 19, 2025.
Meg Lanning (69) and Shafali Verma, the openers, got off to a strong start, scoring 59 runs during the powerplay. However, the chase was held down by the dismissals of Shafali and Jemimah Rodrigues (0). To lead Delhi home, Marizanne Kapp and Annabel Sutherland (41) remained unbeaten, winning the game for Delhi. Earlier, UP Warriorz got off to a quick start by virtue of Kiran Navgire (51 off 27), who was assisted by Shweta Sehrawat (37) and Chinelle Henry (33* off 17). Sutherland and Delhi’s spinners put pressure on UP despite their late comeback.
