Royal Challengers Bengaluru kickstart preparations to defend their title

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the reigning champions of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025, have stepped up their preparations with intense net sessions.

The Challengers failed to impress in the inaugural season in 2023, managing only two wins from eight games. Nonetheless, in a quick turnaround, the 2024 season saw a more focused RCB team go all the way to lifting the trophy.

In order to strengthen their team for the forthcoming season, the RCB made targeted purchases at the WPL 2025 auction. In order to boost their bowling and batting departments, the reigning champions made several important acquisitions, including Jagravi Pawar, Raghvi Bist, a promising all-rounder who will add depth to both the bowling and batting departments, Prema Rawat, a spinner from Uttarakhand, for 1.20 crores, and Joshitha VJ, and 18-year-old all-rounder who recently played in the under-19 world cup winning squad, for 10 lakhs.
