RCB bowler Sobhana Asha scripts history, and becomes the first Indian bowler to pick up a five-wicket haul in WPL.
The UP Warriorz skipper Alyssa Healy won the toss and opted to field first. After being inserted to bat first, RCB posted a competitive total (157/6) on the board courtesy of twin half-centuries from Sabbhineni Meghana (53 off 44 balls) and Richa Ghosh (62 off 37 balls). Spinners dominated the innings and accounted for 5 out of their 6 wickets.
Chasing a target of 158, the UP Warriorz got off to a poor start, losing their skipper Alyssa Healy early on in the run chase. Tahlia McGrath and Vrinda Dinesh led the recovery with a crucial partnership for the 2nd wicket. However, they eventually failed to take their side over the line falling short of the target by 2 runs. Losing wickets in clusters derailed the run chase for the UP Warriorz.
Sobhana Asha triggered the collapse in the run chase. She landed a double blow in the 9th over of the run chase and her 2nd over of the innings. She came back and struck thrice and completed her five-fer in the 17th over of the run chase. She also became the first Indian bowler to pick up a five-wicket haul.

Asha's 17th over changed everything, Wareham's 19th over was pure brilliance. And then Molineux's composure in the last over sealed the deal for us. But bhai ye close games are seriously taking years off my life😭my heart needs a break https://t.co/bw91glJtlL
