Smriti Mandhana is an Indian cricketer representing the national team and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the women’s premier league WPL while also playing for the Maharashtra cricket team domestically she has earned accolades including the best women’s international cricketer by the board of control for cricket in India BCCI on June 2018 and the Rachael Heyhoe Flint award for the best female cricketer of the 2022 year on December 2018.
Hailing from Mumbai, Mandhana’s cricketing journey began under the influence of her family with both her father and brother being district-level cricketers, her breakthrough came in 2013 when she became the first Indian woman to score a double hundred in a one-day game for Maharashtra. She has since made significant contributions in domestic and international cricket impressing in tournaments like the women’s Big Bash League WBBL and the women’s cricket World Cup Mandhana’s dynamic performances have earned her recognition as one of India’s finest cricketers with notable achievements including scoring the fastest fifty in just 23 balls for India in women’s T20 is and winning the ICC women’s cricketer of the year award in 2018. Additionally, she served as the captain of the Trailblazers in the Women’s T20 challenge and led them to victory in the year 2020.
