Her talent soon caught the eye of selectors, earning her spots in prestigious teams like India Blue and India C in 2018 and 2019, respectively. In the 2019–20 Women’s Senior One Day Trophy she smashed her first century, a match-winning 132 runs.

Roy’s dominance continued in the 2020–21 season, where she notched up two unbeaten centuries in the Senior Women’s One Day Trophy, finishing as the tournament’s leading run-scorer with 456 runs in eight matches. Despite her stellar performances, she had to wait until May 2021 to receive her maiden call-up to the India women’s cricket team for their tour of England. However, she missed out on the opportunity to debut.

Indrani scored 105 runs in 7 innings with her high score of 51 runs in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy 2023-24. Roy known for her skills as a wicketkeeper batter was signed by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the inaugural WPL auction for INR 10 lakhs.
