Bio:

Renuka Singh emerged as the top wicket-taker in the 2019-20 Senior Women’s One Day Trophy, showcasing her prowess in the domestic tournaments with 23 dismissals. Her consistent performances earned her a well-deserved call to the India women’s cricket team, hence she made her WT20I debut (cap 69) on 7 October 2021 against Australia. She has a total of 39 wickets in 37 innings which include two 4-fer and one 5-fer in her T20I career.

Following her impressive start, Singh was named in India’s squad for the 2022 World Cup held in New Zealand. She made her Women’s One-day International debut (cap 137) on 18 February 2022 against New Zealand further solidifying her place in the national team.

In July 2022, she was selected for India’s cricket team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham England. Renuka not only emerged as the leading wicket-taker of the tournament with 11 dismissals but also contributed significantly to India’s silver medal finish. Her remarkable journey continued as she made her Test debut against England in December 2023 marking another milestone in her career.

Despite being one of the top 5 buys of the inaugural WPL 2023 season, Renuka Singh faced a challenging campaign with RCB after being brought in for a hefty sum of 1.5 CR as she could only manage to take 1 wicket with a 9.54 economy in 6 matches. Nonetheless, looking at her current form in international cricket, she has proved her worth and could be seen performing much better in the forthcoming Royal Challenger Bangalore matches.
