Humaira Kaazi represents Mumbai on the domestic circuit, owing to her all-round skills she is an important value-addition to the Mumbai Domestic side. Not only does she bring experience to the table, but also provides the much-needed balance in the squad.
Batting at number 3 she is one of the most important batters in the Mumbai line-up. In the recently concluded Senior Women’s T20 Trophy 2023 she amassed 258 runs in 10 games, recording 2 fifty-plus scores in the process. Averaging 32.25 with the bat, she was one of the most consistent performers this season. Chasing a precarious 85-run target in the final, Humaira steadied the ship scoring 21-ball 23 after losing opener Simran Shaikh early.
Having played all 10 games last year, Humaira Kaazi was a regular feature in the Mumbai Indians side in the previous edition of the WPL. However, she was heavily underutilized owing to the excess of international stars in the playing XI. Humaira will be hoping a chance comes her way this season and she can replicate her domestic performance at a higher level.
