Bio:
Harmanpreet Kaur has successfully led India across formats after she was appointed as India’s full-time captain in July 2022. Under her captaincy the Indian Women’s Cricket team has achieved new heights, she has also successfully led the Mumbai Indians to the title in the inaugural edition of the WPL.
Having played for top franchises in some of the best T20 leagues, she is one of the most experienced players in the Mumbai Indians team. Across her T20 career, Harmanpreet has represented India in 161 games and has scored 3204 runs at an average of 27.62. She is a capable bowler and can fill in if one of the front-line bowlers is having an off day.
In the previous edition of the WPL, Harmanpreet led from the front scoring plenty of runs for the Mumbai Indians franchise. She scored 281 runs in 10 matches at a strike rate of 135.09. She registered 3 fifty-plus scores in the tournament and was one of the most crucial batters in the line-up.
