Hayley Matthews-led West Indies will face off against Kathryn Bryce-led Scotland in the second match of the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier 2025. This highly anticipated encounter will take place at the Lahore City Cricket Association Ground, starting at 10 AM IST.

Both teams come into the tournament having tested their strengths in warm-up fixtures. West Indies played two games, registering a 5-wicket win over Ireland before falling to hosts Pakistan by the same margin. Scotland, on the other hand, played just one warm-up match, where they were handed a 5-wicket defeat by Bangladesh.
West Indies head into the tournament with momentum from their last ODI series in January 2025, where they defeated Bangladesh 2-1. After a dominant 9-wicket win in the opener, they stumbled in the second match with a 60-run loss but bounced back strongly to seal the series with an 8-wicket victory in the decider.
Scotland’s most recent ODI outing came in the Netherlands Women’s ODI Tri-Series in August 2024. They impressed in the round-robin stage, winning three out of four matches to finish second with 6 points. However, they fell short in the final, losing to the Netherlands.
Head-to-Head:
West Indies and Scotland have faced each other just once in the ODI format. Their lone meeting came during the 2003 International Women’s Cricket Council Trophy, where West Indies registered a commanding 10-wicket win over Scotland.
