Both teams come into the tournament having tested their strengths in warm-up fixtures. West Indies played two games, registering a 5-wicket win over Ireland before falling to hosts Pakistan by the same margin. West Indies head into the tournament with momentum from their last ODI series in January 2025, where they defeated Bangladesh 2-1. Scotland’s most recent ODI outing came in the Netherlands Women’s ODI Tri-Series in August 2024. They impressed in the round-robin stage, winning three out of four matches to finish second with 6 points. However, they fell short in the final, losing to the Netherlands.
