The first semi-final will see England take on South Africa in Guwahati on October 29, with experienced umpires Eloise Sheridan and Jacquline Williams set to officiate on the field. Sheridan, who stood in the earlier group clash between the same sides — a match England dominated with a 10-wicket win — will once again oversee proceedings.

Williams, meanwhile, brings familiarity with both teams, having been involved in England’s matches against India and Australia, as well as South Africa’s victories over India and Bangladesh. Vrinda Rathi will take charge as the third umpire, while Claire Polosak serves as the fourth umpire and GS Lakshmi acts as the match referee.

The second semi-final in Navi Mumbai on October 30 promises to be a blockbuster, with hosts India going up against the defending champions Australia. Lauren Agenbag of South Africa and Sue Redfern of England are the on-field umpires for this clash between two modern powerhouses.

Agenbag has been a regular feature in India’s matches this tournament, overseeing contests against Pakistan, New Zealand, and Bangladesh. Redfern, too, is well-acquainted with both sides, having umpired when Australia set the record for the highest successful run chase in women’s ODIs earlier in the group stage. Kim Cotton has been appointed as the third umpire, Nimali Perera as the fourth umpire, and Michell Pereira will serve as match referee.
