Pakistan hasn’t had much success in T20Is recently, suffering a 1-4 series defeat to West Indies at home earlier this year, followed by a 0-3 loss to England in an away series. In the subsequent Asia Cup, they lost key games, including the semi-final to Sri Lanka and the league match to India. Most recently, they faced a 1-2 series defeat to South Africa on home soil, winning 3 of their last 5 T20Is.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, has had an impressive run this year. They won a 2-1 away series against South Africa and finished unbeaten in the T20 World Cup Qualifier in the UAE. After an unexpected 2-1 home series defeat to West Indies, they bounced back to go unbeaten in the Asia Cup, securing their maiden title. Most recently, they drew a series against Ireland 1-1, winning 4 of their last 5 T20Is.

Head-to-head, Pakistan leads with 10 wins from 20 games, including a no result, while Sri Lanka trails with 9 losses. However, Sri Lanka has claimed victories in their last 3 T20Is against rivals Pakistan.
