Sri Lanka was made to work hard after wrapping Scotland for 58, while Bangladesh seals a comprehensive victory.
Warm-up Match 6: Scotland Women Vs Sri Lanka Women
Scotland skipper Kathryn Bryce won the toss and opted to bat first. Scotland failed to deliver the promise they displayed in their first warm-up game against Pakistan. The batting unit chased down the 135-run target with 8 wickets in hand to stun Pakistan. However, cricket is a great leveler as the Scotland batting lineup horribly crumbled and they were bundled out for just 58 runs with one over to spare. Wicket-keeper batter Sarah Bryce was the lone warrior for her side (24 off 43 balls), and Rachel Slater (10 off 11 balls) were the only two players to enter the double digits for Scotland with the bat.
Udeshika Prabodhani (2-0-3-2), and Sachini Nisansala (4-0-10-2) picked up two wickets apiece. Inoka Ranaweera (3-0-8-1) was the top performers with the ball for Sri Lanka. Chasing a target of 59, Sri Lanka got over the line with five wickets in hand and 27 balls to spare. Kavisha Dilhari (27 off 34 balls) was the top performer with the bat for Sri Lanka. Olivia Bell (4-0-16-1), Rachel Slater (4-0-22-1), skipper Kathryn Bryce (2-0-6-1), Katherine Fraser (1.3-0-5-1), and Abtaha Maqsood (3-0-7-0) were the top performers with the ball for Scotland.
