Summary:
Chanida Sutthiruang continues to dominate with the ball as Thailand won over Namibia by 38 runs at Dundee on Sunday.
Winning the toss, Thailand Skipper opted to bat on a track which was dead slow. Thailand openers who had a great time in the previous match failed to give a good start as the young bowler from Namibia cleaned up the top order of Thailand, they were struggling at 37 for 6 in 11 overs. Then the captain Tippoch took the responsibility and played a decent knock of 37, which helped Thailand to set a target of 100 for Namibia.
Chasing the target of 100, Namibia lost their first wicket on the very first ball of the inning with opener Van der Merwe cleaned up by Sutthiruang. Following her, no other batters spent much time at the crease, wickets kept on falling in regular intervals. Sutthiruang was the best of the bowlers for Thailand claiming 4 wickets. Only two Namibia batters were able to reach the double figures, with 16 by Mwatlie as highest. In the end, Namibia was all-out for 61 in 19.2 overs.
With this win, Thailand is topping the points table and Namibia is placed at the bottom.
Brief Score: Thailand 99 for 6 ( Tippoch 37, Shihepo 3 for 8) defeated Namibia 61 All-out ( Mwatlie 16, Sutthiruang 4 for 13) by 38 runs.
