1) Naruemol Chaiwai: Thailand openers played a match-winning knock of 35 runs in just 22 balls which helped Thailand to set a target of 77 in a 9 over Game because of rain. 
2) Chanida Sutthiruang: The young medium pace bowler from Thailand picked up 3 wickets in 2 overs with an economy rate of 2.5, Terrific medium-fast bowling of her helped Thailand to restrict the Netherlands from chasing the target.

As Chanida Sutthiruang delivered a terrific spell of medium-fast bowling, Thailand woman won over the Netherlands woman by 30 runs in a rain-shortened 9 over game at Arbroath on Saturday.


Summary:

After the first match got abandoned due to rain. thankfully it stopped raining later, which helped for at least a 9 over-game for the second match.  Winning the toss, Thai Skipper Sornnarin Tippoch elected to bat, it was a surprise move from her, as it was a shortened game of 9 overs.

Opening the innings for Thailand for Chaiwai and Chatham gave them a great start of 76 runs in 9 overs without losing a wicket. Both the openers scored 35 runs each and ended the inning on 76 runs in 9 overs.

Chasing the target of 76, Netherlands were not off to a great start, they were at 9 for 4 in 3 overs. Sutthiruang,  the medium-fast bowler bowled an excellent spell of fast bowling, She picked up a wicket in the very second ball of Netherlands innings, which kept them under pressure from the very first over, Her spell of 3 for 5 in 2 overs, damaged the batting line up of Netherlands. Only Battede le Leede got into double digits scoring 20, in the end, the Netherlands ended up the inning at 46 for 5, which made them lose the match by 30 runs.

Sutthiruang was awarded as the player of the match for her excellent spell of fast bowling.

Thailand will be playing against Namibia and Netherlands will be playing against Ireland tomorrow, hope that rain God’s will stay away.

Brief Score: Thailand  76 for 0 (9 overs ) defeated  Netherlands 45 for 6 (9 overs ) by 30 runs.
